Admissions Requirements for the DC
COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC: DOCTORATE OF CHIROPRACTIC ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
- Earned at least 90 credit hours with preference given to those earning a baccalaureate degree.
- Credits and degrees earned must be accredited by an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If the baccalaureate degree was earned at an unaccredited institution, an accredited post-baccalaureate degree is an acceptable alternative.
- Requested that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree. If the applicant attended multiple institutions, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- Earned a minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 for the best of 90 credits earned with preference given to those earning a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their qualifying bachelor’s degree. An applicant with qualifying post-undergraduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
- Complete the prerequisite coursework listed below from an accredited institution:
- 24 hours of life and/or physical science.
- Half of these hours must have labs.
Students are strongly encouraged to complete their bachelor’s degree prior to entering the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Some states require students to have an earned bachelor’s degree for licensure. Students are responsible for knowing the licensure requirements for the state in which they intend to practice or may practice in the future. Logan University strongly recommends all students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree, do so during their time at Logan to help prepare them to be practice-ready in all 50 states. Acceptance into the Doctor of Chiropractic program does not imply acceptance into a Bachelor of Science program at the university. Students who wish to earn both a bachelor’s degree and the Doctor of Chiropractic must apply and be admitted into both programs. Students admitted through the general admission pathway typically select the standard 10 trimester Academic Degree Plan (ADP).
ALTERNATIVE ADMISSION TRACK PROGRAM (AATP)
The AATP program is for those candidates who do not meet the admission requirements outlined must have one of the following to be reviewed:
- Earned a minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 for the best of 90 credits earned with preference given to those earning a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their qualifying bachelor’s degree. a. An applicant with qualifying post-undergraduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
- Completed the prerequisite coursework listed below from an accredited institution:
- 24 hours of life and/or physical science.
- Half of these hours must have labs.
*If a student has a best of 90 GPA (unweighted) of 2.75 or higher and less than 24 hours of life and/or physical science, they can be reviewed by Admissions Committee for possible admittance. Students may be required to specialized acceptance plan designed to optimize their success. These plans may include additional preparatory coursework, admissions through Logan’s 3+1 Bachelor of Science in Life Science degree program, regular meetings with academic success coaches, scheduled meetings with tutors and/or other reasonable provisions designed to increase a student’s chances for success. These requirements will be outlined in the student’s acceptance letter.
Admissions Requirements for the Ed.D.
COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES: Ed.D. ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
- Earned a master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the
Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Applicants who graduated outside the United States must provide an official equivalency
evaluation. - Requested that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree. If the
applicant attended multiple institutions, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan. - Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their qualifying degree
- An applicant with qualifying post graduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
- Applicants with a GPA (unweighted)between 2.5 and 2.99 may appeal to the Admissions Review Board for a probationary acceptance to Logan.
- Completed the admissions application with non-refundable application fee and current resume or CV.

Admissions Requirements for the MSSSR
COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN SPORTS SCIENCE AND REHABILITATION ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
- Earned a baccalaureate degree or higher that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA).- If the baccalaureate degree was earned at an unaccredited institution, an accredited post-baccalaureate degree is an acceptable alternative.
- Requested that an official transcript to be sent directly to Logan University from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree.
- If the applicant attended multiple institutions, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in his or her qualifying bachelor’s degree.
- An applicant with qualifying post undergraduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
- Completed the prerequisite coursework listed below from an accredited institution with grades of C or higher in each course.
- Earned six semester credit hours of either physics, kinesiology, exercise science, biomechanics or statistics and six semester credit hours of biological science.
- Students not meeting the course prerequisites may be probationally admitted.
- Probational students acknowledge that the prerequisite courses prepare stronger candidates for success but still wish to pursue the degree.
- Probational students may be requested to take a reduced course load and meet regularly with their Academic Success Coach.

COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NUTRITION AND HUMAN PERFORMANCE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
- Earned a baccalaureate degree or higher that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- If the baccalaureate degree was earned at an unaccredited institution, an accredited post-baccalaureate degree is an acceptable alternative
- Requested that an official transcript to be sent directly to Logan University from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree.
- If the applicant attended multiple institutions, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in his or her qualifying bachelor’s degree.
- An applicant with qualifying post undergraduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee.

Deadlines for applications and all admission requirements:
Spring: Must be postmarked by December 1st
Fall: Must be postmarked by August 1st
The maximum class size for the MSAND program is 15 for each entrance (Fall, and Spring). All applicants who submit the requisite application materials and meet the admission criteria will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. The candidates chosen by the Selection Committee with the highest scores on a point based entrance rubric will be required to participate in a virtual interview via a video conferencing platform.
Admissions Requirements for the MSAND
COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN APPLIED NUTRITION & DIETETICS ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
- Earned a baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If the baccalaureate degree was earned at an unaccredited institution, an accredited post-baccalaureate degree is an acceptable alternative.
- Requested that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree. If the applicant attended multiple institutions, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in his or her qualifying bachelor’s degree.
- An applicant with qualifying post-undergraduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
- Completion of a personal statement (up to 750 words) to include:
- Why Logan?
- Any experience in the nutrition field? Please share any specific shadowing, volunteer, or work experience you have in dietetics.
- Why do you want to become an RD?
- Short term and long term goals.
- Two letters of recommendation: One letter of recommendation from a current or former employer, and one letter of recommendation from a current or former instructor.
- MS-AND application that can be found on the Logan website.
- Resume or CV.
* An international student seeking admission to Logan must provide the following documentation in addition to other admissions requirements:
- Proficiency in English. Students who have not earned the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree taught in English are required to submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score. TOEFL scores of 500 or higher on paper- based exams or 79 on the iBT Test are acceptable. A breakdown of the sub-scores for the iBT Test can be found in the Academic Catalog (p. 20).
Prerequisites
- Completed the pre-requisite coursework listed below from an accredited institution with grades of C (2.5 on a 4.0 scale) or higher in each course.
- Prerequisites must be completed by the end of the preceding summer semester for a fall entrance, and by the end of the preceding fall for a spring entrance.

- Human Nutrition or equivalent (3 credit hours)
*Students can also take one Anatomy course (3 credit hours) and one Physiology course (3 credit hours).
Admissions Requirements for the MSHI
COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH INFORMATICS ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
- Earned a baccalaureate degree or higher that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA). -
- If the baccalaureate degree was earned at an unaccredited institution, an accredited post-baccalaureate degree is an acceptable alternative.
- Requested that an official transcript to be sent directly to Logan University from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree.

An applicant must have:
- A baccalaureate degree or higher that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If the baccalaureate degree was earned at an unaccredited institution, an accredited post-baccalaureate degree is an acceptable alternative.
- An official transcript sent directly to Logan from the institution awarding the qualifying entrance degree. If the applicant attended multiple institutions, an official transcript must be sent from each institution.
- Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in his or her qualifying bachelor’s degree. An applicant with qualifying post undergraduate coursework may have those courses and cumulative GPA (unweighted) reevaluated by Admissions Committee.
- Completed the prerequisite coursework listed below from an accredited institution with grades of C or higher in each course.

Admissions Requirements for the MSIP
COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN CHIROPRACTIC PEDIATRICS ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
An applicant must have:
Domestic Applicants:
- Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or its equivalent.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA unweighted) of 2.75 or higher.
- Chiropractic license in good standing prior to start of the program and must maintain Chiropractic license in good standing throughout the program.
- New Graduates starting in the term right after graduation must provide licensure update within three months of their DC graduation.
- Chiropractic students starting the MSIP program prior to DC-program graduation must provide DC degree update upon graduation and chiropractic licensure update within three months of their DC graduation.
International Applicants:
- A degree equivalent to the U.S. Doctorate of Chiropractic as evidenced by an evaluation conducted by an approved credential evaluator such as the World Education Services (WES) organization.
- 3.0 cumulative grade point average or approval of the program director
- Chiropractic license in good standing prior to start of the program and must maintain Chiropractic license in good standing throughout the program.
- Proficiency in English – Students who have not earned the equivalent of a Baccalaureate degree taught in English are required to submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score. - As an alternative to TOEFL, iELTS scores of 6.5 or better are also accepted.
- All applicants must submit official transcripts to the Admissions Office for evaluation.
- For students seeking to fulfill pre-requisite requirements with courses completed at an institution outside of the U.S. or Canada, transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited service such as World Education Services (WES).
- When utilization of an outside evaluating agency is necessary, the official evaluation by that agency should be sent in lieu of the original transcripts.
- Transcript(s) are to be sent to Logan University, Office of Admissions
Doctor of Chiropractic Students with Advanced Standing:
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA unweighted) of 3.0 or higher.
- Completion of one or more terms as a primary treating clinician in an institution-approved facility.
- For Logan students, once Trimester 7 has been successfully completed.

Admissions Requirements for Bachelor’s Degree Program
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE: HUMAN BIOLOGY AND LIFE SCIENCE (3+1):
The Bachelor of Science degree programs have the following admission requirements:
- Complete the online application.
- For High School graduates and any student with less than 24 semester hours of undergraduate coursework (after
graduating high school):- Request that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from accredited High School. If the applicant attended multiple institutions for high school or undergraduate course work, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- 2.5 CGPA (unweighted) from high school.
- ACT/SAT Score (within 7 years) – Logan University does not offer pre-college/ remedial level course work. SAT/ACT scores are used to help determine preparedness for college level English and math course work at the minimum of the 100 level.
- ACT Composite Score Minimum: 23
- SAT Composite Score Minimum: 1100
- Student with a high school CGPA (unweighted) between 2.0 to 2.49 may appeal for Alternative Admissions acceptance to the Admissions Committee.
- Students will be coded as AATP-PREQ.
- Logan University reserves the right to outline special conditions of acceptance for AATP-PREREQ students they believe will optimize a student’s chances for success such as reduced course loads, required tutoring, required meetings with academic success coaches, etc.
- Student without ACT/SAT Score may appeal for Alternative Admissions acceptance to the Admissions Committee.
- Students will be coded as AATP-PREQ.
- Logan University reserves the right to outline special conditions of acceptance for AATP-PREREQ students they believe will optimize a student’s chances for success such as reduced course loads, required tutoring, required meetings with academic success coaches, etc.
- For transfer students with 24 or more semester hours of undergraduate coursework (after graduating high school):
- Request that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from all accredited institutions. If the applicant attended multiple institutions for undergraduate course work, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- 2.5 CGPA (unweighted) from undergraduate course work.
- Student with an undergraduate CGPA (unweighted) between 2.0 to 2.49 may appeal for Alternative Admissions acceptance to the Admissions Committee.
- Students will be coded as AATP-PREQ.
- Logan University reserves the right to outline special conditions of acceptance for AATP-PREREQ students they believe will optimize a student’s chances for success such as reduced course loads, required tutoring, required meetings with academic success coaches, etc.
- GED/HiSET/Home School – Must meet one of the requirements to start in the Bachelor programs:
- ACT/SAT Score (within 7 years) – Logan University does not offer pre-college/ remedial level course work. SAT/ACT scores are used to help determine preparedness for college level English and math course work at the minimum of the 100 level.
- ACT Composite Score Minimum: 23
- SAT Composite Score Minimum: 1100
- Complete 24 semester hours of undergraduate course work either at Logan University as a none degree seeking student or complete them at another accredited institution.
- ACT/SAT Score (within 7 years) – Logan University does not offer pre-college/ remedial level course work. SAT/ACT scores are used to help determine preparedness for college level English and math course work at the minimum of the 100 level.
